Denis Melis Out for Season Wednesday, September 6th, 2034 A blow for Denis Melis today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 9 months with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. Melis suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Melis's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. To date this year Melis has won 3 and lost 0 with a 6.43 ERA, 2 saves and 15 strikeouts in 14 relief appearances. |
