PAAA Player of the Week, Velázquez of Bakersfield Monday, September 4th, 2034 At the age of 29, Jorge Velázquez might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Bakersfield first baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .588 batting average. For his efforts Velázquez collected the USPL Triple A Player of the Week Award. He racked up 10 hits in 17 at-bats, 3 home runs and 10 RBIs last week in 5 games. Velázquez is hitting .411 so far this season with 26 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
