Ward Wins PAAA Best Player Award Monday, July 31st, 2034 Michael Ward burst onto the USPL Triple A stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie first baseman for Calgary garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 26-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .565 (13-for-23) with 2 home runs and 3 RBIs last week. This season Ward is swinging the bat at a .327 rate with 82 hits in 251 at-bats. To date he has hit 5 home runs, scored 40 runs and driven in 32. |
