Baltimore No Match for Primes-Willes
Thursday, July 20th, 2034
The Bakersfield Nobles shut out the Baltimore Black Sox 9-0 today behind the strong pitching of Shuntavyious Primes-Willes. Primes-Willes surrendered only 3 hits in recording the complete-game victory, and struck out 4.
Following the last out, Primes-Willes appeared to celebrate a little too boisterously for Baltimore manager Josh Jackson, who could be seen scolding the famously outspoken right-hander as the clubs left the field. Primes-Willes's own manager then intervened with some words for his counterpart.
The Black Sox skipper would not comment on the exchange, but at the Nobles press conference, Primes-Willes confirmed that it was regarding the celebration.
"He basically told me I was being a lousy winner," Primes-Willes said.
"And I told him he was being a lousy loser," Bakersfield manager Elliott Taylor added.
So far this year Primes-Willes has nailed down no saves. His won-lost record is 5-1 with a 0.94 ERA.
