BC, Baars Blank Key West Saturday, June 24th, 2034 Wop Baars came out firing strikes and when the game ended, the Houston BC hurler had struck out 3, leading Houston past the Key West Coral Reefers, 1-0. Baars allowed just 7 hits in the ballgame. "I'm glad that one is in the rearview mirror," said Key West manager Sam Newell. So far this year Baars has made 10 starts, tossed 63.2 innings, struck out 37 batters and walked 44. His record is 4-3 with a 5.80 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .273 batting average.
