Red-Hot Zarate Scorches Fog Wednesday, August 24th, 2033 Halberds first baseman José Zarate had his way with Sunset District pitching today at Ballpark of Alloway and mauled them for 5 hits in 7 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the Fog ruined his great day by toppling the Halberds, 9-8. "I had a great day, but you've got to give Sunset District credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits." "Oh, we noticed what Zarate did today," Fog skipper John Muñóz said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him." José Zarate singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Artie Best in the 8th, singled in the 9th, flied out in the 11th and singled in the 14th.
