Ramírez Rips Galesburg for 5 Hits Friday, August 18th, 2034 1787 BC center fielder Román Ramírez had his way with Galesburg pitching today at Carrier Field and mauled them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the Guzzlers ruined his great day by toppling the 1787 BC, 3-2. "I had a great day, but you've got to give Galesburg credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits." "Oh, we noticed what Ramírez did today," Guzzlers skipper Craig Sunter said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him." Román Ramírez singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Henry Ross in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
