The 18-year-old center fielder went about his business with vigor last week to grab the USSL Single A Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .529 average (9-for-17) with 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. For the season, Kovacs is hitting at a .237 clip with 3 home runs, 14 RBIs and has scored 25 runs.
