Fleming and Sellwood Brawl, League Suspends Them
Monday, August 21st, 2034
After an intense confrontation, both the Chiefs Desi Fleming and the Plainsmen Martin Sellwood were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Connetquot-Nebraska game. Both players will miss 7 games as a result of their actions.
"Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Desi Fleming commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play."
Fleming is hitting .326 this year with 2 home runs and 17 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .429, 20 walks and scored 17 times.
