Reed Hits in 20 Straight Games
Thursday, August 17th, 2034
The Yellowknife Dragonblood may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 5-2 to the York Revolution, but Jeff Reed continued to hit like a god.

The center fielder collected 1 hit in 4 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games.

"Reed is playing great and is on fire right now," Dragonblood manager Andha Gangulee said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."

Reed was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss."
Jeff Reed struck out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th and grounded out in the 8th.

In 80 games Reed is hitting .302 this season with 103 hits, 10 home runs, 52 RBIs, 15 walks, .336 OBP and has scored 47 runs.
