Im Hits in 20 Straight Games Tuesday, August 29th, 2034 The Mt. Vernon Bulls may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 13-3 to the Grand Forks Caterpillars, but Tong-sik Im continued to hit like a god. The shortstop collected 2 hits in 4 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Im is playing great and is on fire right now," Bulls manager Barry Embling said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Im was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Tong-sik Im flied out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and walked in the 9th. In 17 games Im is hitting .359 this season with 28 hits, 6 home runs, 22 RBIs, 2 walks, .383 OBP and has scored 13 runs. |
