González and Pomar Brawl, League Suspends Them
Friday, September 2nd, 2033
After an intense confrontation, both the Bruins Jesús González and the Dragoons Ron Pomar were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Bellevue-Louisiana game. Both players will miss 3 games as a result of their actions.
"Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Jesús González commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play."
González is hitting .269 this year with 3 home runs and 31 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .338, 17 walks and scored 22 times.
To date this year Pomar has won 0 and lost 2 with a 4.31 ERA, no saves and 30 strikeouts in 15 relief appearances.
