Hakoda Nabs PL Weekly Award Monday, September 18th, 2034 A battle-tested Kyoji Hakoda declared war on opposing pitchers last week, attacking the ball like the well-schooled veteran he is. Today the 37-year-old Toledo first baseman collected the United States Premier League Player of the Week Award. He wrapped up the week with a .450 average, 9 hits in 20 at-bats, 4 home runs, 9 RBIs and 6 runs scored. This season Hakoda is swinging the bat at a .249 rate with 97 hits in 389 at-bats. To date he has hit 24 home runs, scored 48 runs and driven in 72. |
