Almost There: Boston On Cusp of R2035 Triumph After 9-2 Win
|
The Boston Patriots moved to within one game of the Round 2036 today, downing the visiting Las Vegas Flamingos at Dunkin Donuts Park by a score of 9-2. Patriots third baseman Dennis Wacher was named player of the game after he went 2-4 with a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The win gives the Patriots a - advantage in the best-of- Round 2035.
Anselmo Berneu aided the Boston cause with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the catcher went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Wacher said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
Game 4 is set to be played tomorrow at Dunkin Donuts Park. The scheduled starters for the game are Marvin Martin for Las Vegas and Natalino Golaio for Boston.
