Almost There: Boston On Cusp of R2035 Triumph After 7-3 Win
|
Game was big. So was Darby Marshall.
The Boston starter rose to the occasion at The Strip today, earning player of the game honors after leading the Patriots to a crucial 7-3 victory over the Las Vegas Flamingos. Marshall threw 7 innings of 6-hit ball as the Patriots won on the road to seize a - lead in the best-of- Round 2035.
Manuel Carmona, who is rated as the 5th best prospect by BNN, aided the Boston cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder was 1 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Marshall told reporters after the game.
Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday in Boston. The scheduled starters for the game are Sy-ing Tah for the Las Vegas Flamingos and Sam Mooney for the the Boston Patriots.
