Miao, Thunder Hawks Wallop Misfits in Game 3 of R1
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the visiting Salem Misfits at Thunder Hawks Ballpark by a score of 12-3. Thunder Hawks left fielder Yu Miao was named player of the game after he was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. The win gives the Thunder Hawks a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 3L AA Championship.

Ft. Polk South grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and a runner on 1st, Marc Ben delivered a 2-run home run, to make it 5-3 in favor of the Thunder Hawks.

"We'll savor this win," Ben told the Ft. Polk South Observer, "then get ready for the next game."

Game 4 is set to be played tomorrow.
