The Walla Walla Walleye moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the South Beach Blaze on the road at The Ballpark on the Beach by a score of 6-1. Walleye right-hander Ricky Parker was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball. The win gives the Walleye a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-5 PL A Championship.

Germán Gracía was a key contributor to the win for the Walleye. In the top of the second with two out, the light-hitting second baseman stroked a double to left. He went 1 for 5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

Gracía called the win "a collective effort."
