The PL A Championship is tied at 1 games apiece, thanks to a dramatic walk-off victory at Walleye Tank today for the Walla Walla Walleye.

24-year-old catcher Gustavo Ortíz was the star for Walla Walla, as he was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once in the Walleye Tank contest. The 4-3 Walla Walla triumph allowed the team to even the best-of-5 series with the South Beach Blaze at 1-1.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the tenth. With Walla Walla trailing 3-2, Ortíz hit a fastball from Devoid Couch for a 2-run home run. Just like that, the Walleye had a walk-off win.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Ortíz. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

Game 3 is set to be played Monday. Slated to start are Maik van Osch for the Walla Walla Walleye and Adrik Mihalushkin for the the South Beach Blaze.
