SS García Lights Up Storm for 5 RBIs as Revolution Tie R1
|
The York Revolution and the Syracuse Storm will take the SL A Championship to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation today, the Revolution beat the Storm 8-5 at York Park to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. York third baseman Luis García was named player of the game in the win after he went 2-4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5.
The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fifth when García hit a 3-run home run. It propelled the Revolution into the lead, 6-3.
"Odds are I won't have another 5-RBI game in the playoffs ever again," García said later. "So I'm going to savor this."
The next game is scheduled for Thursday, September 14th, 2034. Slated to start are Rainer Polonius for the York Revolution and Jesús Cruz for the the Syracuse Storm.
