Storm Clip Revolution 3-2 in R1 Contest
|
With center fielder Mitchell Pate leading the charge, the Syracuse Storm defeated the visiting York Revolution, 3-2, in Game 2 of the SL A Championship today. Pate went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 at Storm Park to help Syracuse force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.
Pate had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the second inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Storm went on to win.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Pate told reporters after the game.
Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at York Park. The scheduled starters for the game are Kohei Nishikawa for the Syracuse Storm and John Núñes for the the York Revolution.
