Victory Pushes Patriots Record to 11-6
|
The Boston Patriots got a strong performance from pitcher Jaganmani Vivek, who stymied the Las Vegas offense en route to a 2-1 win at Dunkin Donuts Park. In 6 innings, Vivek surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. José Sánchez closed the game out for Boston, earning his 1st save.
The Patriots got a big at-bat from designated hitter Kantaro Taniguchi. For the game, Taniguchi was 1-4 with a double. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 6th double of the season gave Boston a 2-1 lead.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Vivek told reporters after the game.
The Flamingos fall to 7-10 and continue their lackluster start to the 2034 season.
