Almost There: Buckhead On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 4-2 Win
A strong performance from pitcher Enrique Castro was not enough for the Toledo Stingers, who were stopped by the visiting Buckhead Bowties in a 4-2 loss in Game of the Round 1 today. The Bowties never truly figured out the right-handed Castro, who threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball to earn player of the game honors. Still, the Bowties now hold a - in the best-of- series.

Had Derek Bangert not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Bangert hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Bowties.

"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Bangert told the Buckhead Herald.
