The Gibtown Elephants topped the Ballard Beavers, 6-5, at Field of the Sunchasers. Gibtown second baseman Cédric Causse earned player of the game honors. He banged out 3 singles and 1 double, while driving in 1 runs. The win was Kevin MacIvor's in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Kian-zhi Zhou took the loss for Ballard. Earning his 2nd save for Gibtown was Michael White.

José Ocasio found himself in a pressure situation in the top of the eighth. Facing Ballard hurler Kian-zhi Zhou, the 20-year-old first baseman hit a sacrifice fly. His 31st RBI of the season put the Elephants on top, 6-5.

"It feels good to get this one," Causse told the Gibtown Gazette.

With the victory, the Elephants record now stands at 50-26.
