Álvarez on Fire, Strikes out 15 Hillers
Germantown Uruguayans starter Armando Álvarez brought his best stuff to Ballpark of Albuquerque today against the Union City Hillers, striking out 15 batters in his club's 11-2 victory.

In a strong performance, the 19-year-old Álvarez gave up 6 hits in his 9 innings of work and issued no walks.

"I felt good out there," he said after the game. "My fastball had a lot of life and my curveball was sharp. It was giving hitters fits and working well for me."
