Uruguayans Turn Back Crowley, 3-1
|
Germantown Uruguayans starter Steve Bolton pitched a strong game against the Crowley Cajuns at Ballpark of Albuquerque, leading the Uruguayans to a 3-1 win. François Boyer notched his 10th save in 14 chances. Germantown is now riding a 4-game win streak.
The Uruguayans got a big at-bat from third baseman Meester Gobbles-Rooster. For the game, Gobbles-Rooster was 1-3 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 2nd double of the season gave Germantown a 1-0 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Bolton told the Germantown Times.
