Gobbles-Rooster Helps Germantown Cruise to 12-3 Win
|
Fans at Ballpark of Albuquerque were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Germantown Uruguayans take on the Franklin Fire.
A 5-RBI performance from third baseman Meester Gobbles-Rooster led the Germantown Uruguayans to a 12-3 win over the Franklin Fire. François Boyer earned the save for Germantown, his 8th of the year.
Gobbles-Rooster had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth, when he hit a grand slam. The Uruguayans went on to win.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Gobbles-Rooster.
Germantown is now 44-35, while Franklin is 45-34.
