The Vancouver Grey Wolves and D.C. Divided played an exciting game at Wolf Den in Vancouver.
The Vancouver Grey Wolves did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the D.C. Divided at Wolf Den in Vancouver. Nobody did more than pitcher Ray Skipworth, who captured player of the game honors. Skipworth, the winner, moves to 1-2. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 1 and giving up 4 walks. Ramón Costello was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save.
Early in the game, left fielder Urs van Munster had a 2-run single for Vancouver. It was his 21st hit of the season and put the Grey Wolves on top, 2-0.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Skipworth told a Vancouver Daily reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
The win takes Vancouver to 7-9.
