Rams Lose 4-1 Decision to Pizza Rats
|
Staten Island Pizza Rats starter Artur Corteso pitched a strong game against the Ladue Rams at Ballpark of Califon, leading the Pizza Rats to a 4-1 win. Julius Spry earned the save for Staten Island, his 15th of the year. The Pizza Rats sit in 8th place in the Silver R with a record of 28-49.
António Reyes was one of the major contributors to the win for Staten Island. The light-hitting left fielder stroked a triple to right-center in the bottom of the second inning. For the day, he went 1-3 with a triple.
"It was a good effort all around," said Corteso.
