The Memphis Music and Tulsa Otters played a tight game at Mammoths Ballpark, with the hosts claiming the hard-fought win.
Memphis Music starter Brant Mielke turned in a top-notch performance against the Tulsa Otters at Mammoths Ballpark. The result was a win for the Music, 3-1. The winning pitcher was Mielke, now 5-10. He tossed 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 6.
The Music got a big at-bat from designated hitter Jeffrey O'Tarcert. For the game, O'Tarcert went 1 for 3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 5th double of the season gave Memphis a 2-0 lead.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," O'Tarcert told a Memphis Citizen reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
The Otters, now 37-54, have lost 5 in a row.
