The Fort Knox Centennial got a sterling performance from pitcher Alberto López, but the Clippers still prevailed, 4-3. López was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. San Diego now owns a record of 50-35.

Dan Hines was the walk-off hero for San Diego. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Clippers designated hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Hines told the San Diego Today.
