Victory Pushes Octopi Record to 49-30
|
Ogallala rode a fine outing from starter Venceslau Martelo to victory over the Surprise Shockers at ďAbbots Ballpark. The final score was 5-2. Martelo went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 4, and struck out 6. His record improves to 10-2. Ogallala now sits at 49-30, while Surprise falls to 49-30.
Ogallala right fielder Anthon Oort changed the complexion of the game in the top of the sixth inning. That's when he belted a 2-run home run off Jack Crabb. His 8th home run of the season put Ogallala in front, 3-2.
