Jeff McDermott kept the Memphis Music hitters off balance all game long as the San Diego Clippers pitcher blanked the Music, 8-0.
McDermott gave up 2 hits, struck out 15 and walked 0. In the postgame press conference, the left-hander was reluctant to talk about the outing at length.
"It was a nice win in a long season," he said. "I don't want to dwell too much on it."
To this point in the season, McDermott shows a 12-4 record, 18 starts, 125.1 innings, 118 strikeouts and a 1.87 ERA.
