Clippers Raise Rally Flag, Beat Capital Hill, 9-6
Alex Perry did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Capital Hill Interns from losing, 9-6, to the San Diego Clippers at Alouettes Ballpark. Perry went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. The win was credited to Pablo Berástegui in relief. His record improves to 1-3. Klaus de Lijser took the loss. Meynard Hipolito locked down his 1st save.

San Diego took the lead in the top of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Katsumi Kojima stroked a 2-run triple to make it 7-5, Clippers.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Kojima told the San Diego Today. "You win just by scoring more runs."

The Clippers saw their win-loss record go to 46-32. At the same time, the Interns fell to 39-39.
