Shockers Suffer 5-3 Loss to Cougars
|
The Valley View Cougars topped the Surprise Shockers, 5-3, with youngster Marc Cadiou playing a key role. Cadiou was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles for the Cougars in the win. The win was Chris Ash's in relief. His record improves to 4-6. Jack Crabb took the loss for Surprise. The Cougars move to 31-40 with the win, while the Shockers drop to 45-26.
Ricardo Yates went 1 for 3 for Valley View. In the top of the third, with the teams deadlocked, 0-0, Yates delivered for the Cougars. His run-scoring ground out put Valley View on top, 1-0.
"My job is to go out and play as hard as I can for the Cougars," said Yates.
