Halsall, Shockers Get 6-1 Win
|
Alan Halsall never let the Cougars get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Shockers to a 6-1 win. The wins continue to add up for Surprise, with the latest making it 12 in a row.
Halsall, a native of Basingstoke, England, was dealing all game. He kept Valley View hitters off-balance, while giving the Shockers 8.2 quality innings. Halsall threw 129 pitches, allowing 5 hits and striking out 12.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Halsall told the Surprise Daily.
