The Gibtown Elephants topped the Bompton Baby Lakers, 3-1. Ernesto López, who is tied for 5th in the 3R in innings pitched with 72.2, was named player of the game for his dominant performance. The Elephants now have a record of 30-17 with the win over Bompton.

López, a native of Bahía Blanca, Argentina, was dealing all game. He kept Bompton hitters off-balance, while giving the Elephants 9 quality innings. López threw 132 pitches, allowing 4 hits and striking out 13.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Elephants manager Augusto González, "I like our chances."
