The Bompton Baby Lakers eked out a 6-5 win versus the Quebec Rookies at Ballpark of Jensen Beach. Nobody did more than second baseman De-wei Mo, who captured player of the game honors. Bompton reliever Jesús Alonso was the winner. His record is now 2-2. The losing pitcher was Fernando Perocier. Alois Erstweiler got the save, the 1st for him this season.

William Luna's hit in the top of the 11th was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a fastball from Fernando Perocier for a run-scoring single. It put Bompton in front, 6-5.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Mo said.

Bompton currently is in first place in the Menard's R at 16-8.
