Bompton Baby Lakers starter Tae-ho Ch'oe turned in a sterling performance against the Greenport Harbor Whales, leading his team to a slim 1-0 win. Ch'oe, now 1-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing no earned runs. Jesús Alonso finished the game for Bompton and earned his 2nd save.
The Baby Lakers got a big at-bat from third baseman Bailey Gribbins. For the game, Gribbins went 1-4. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 3rd hit of the season gave Bompton a 1-0 lead.
"We did just enough to win," Gribbins said.
