Big Day for Blanch as Hillers Down Fire, 8-6
The Union City Hillers beat the Franklin Fire, 8-6, at Lawmen Ballpark. The win was largely due to the efforts of designated hitter Seb Blanch, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Union City is now 16-19, Franklin 24-11.

In the top of the seventh inning, pinch hitter Cesar Baardman came through big-time for the Hillers. With Union City leading 4-3, he belted a grand slam home run.

"It feels good to get this one," Baardman told the Union City Chronicle.
