Rams Squelch Pizza Rats Offense in Shutout Win
|
Ladue turned a good effort from starter Rio Dring into a win over the Staten Island Pizza Rats at Ballpark of Califon. The final score was 3-0. Dring, now 3-1, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing no earned runs. The save went to James Callendar, his 7th this season.
Bill Dixon helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run single to give Ladue a 2-0 lead.
"I really like what we did out there today," Dring said after the game.
The Rams now have a record of 15-12 with the win over Staten Island.
