The Union City Hillers powered past the Newcastle Mermen, 10-2, at Crusaders Ballpark. Seb Blanch was 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5, to lead the charge. The Hillers have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 4th win in 13 games.

Blanch had a game-changing triple in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-1 fastball from Geoff Pruitt, he banged a 2-run triple to left-center, giving the Hillers a 4-2 lead. It was the 1st triple of the year for Blanch.

"We played hard and won," said Blanch. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
