Clippers Get One-Run Win at Fort Knox
|
The San Diego Clippers eked out a 4-3 win versus the Fort Knox Centennial at Ballpark of Baxter. Nobody did more than pitcher Riley Evans, who captured player of the game honors. San Diego has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
San Diego designated hitter Dan Hines changed the complexion of the game in the top of the sixth inning. That's when he belted a 3-run home run off Diego Cartaya. His 4th home run of the season put San Diego in front, 3-2.
Hines called winning a team effort. "It's not the same guy every time," he said. "It's the sum of the parts."
