Interns Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Cougars
|
The Capital Hill Interns beat the Valley View Cougars, 8-5, at Alouettes Ballpark. The win was largely due to the efforts of shortstop John Fitzgerald, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times. Jo Yamasaki earned the win for Capital Hill. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 5 earned runs on 7 hits, while striking out 10. With the win, he raised his record to 6-3. Capital Hill is now 32-32, while Valley View is 29-35.
