Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Snowpeople
Well, that's how to end a game in style.

The Ellesmere Island Snowpeople picked up a win at Corpus Christi Grounds, knocking off the Ogallala Octopi, 5-4. On the mound for Ellesmere Island was right-hander Jim Thurman, who played a pivotal role in the win. Ellesmere Island reliever George Kipcak picked up the win, upping his record to 4-4. Ye-qing Tsai was saddled with the loss.

Carlos Moreno was the walk-off hero for Ellesmere Island. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Snowpeople left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Moreno told the Ellesmere Island Bulletin.

Ellesmere Island is now 28-31.
