Win Streak Now at 10 for Clippers

The San Diego Clippers picked up a win at Mean Green Ballpark, knocking off the Surprise Shockers, 3-2. On the mound for San Diego was left-hander Justin Clapham, who played a pivotal role in the win. Clapham, now 4-2, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 1 earned run. Pascal Bourdon earned the save, his 2nd.
In the bottom of the second, Tony Worley hit a 2-run single for San Diego. The 45th hit of the season for the San Diego center fielder put the Clippers on top, 2-0.
In postgame remarks, Worley said: "To all who've been doubting my effort -- I hope they saw this game."
