Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Clippers
The San Diego Clippers scored a 4-3 win versus the Surprise Shockers at Mean Green Ballpark. San Diego pitcher Jerry Cherry nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Reliever César Sandoval picked up the win. His record improves to 3-3. José Castro took the loss. The third-place Clippers have won 9 in a row.

San Diego's win came gift-wrapped. With two out in the bottom of the ninth, with the game tied, Sze Qi reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run.

"I was a little disappointed," said Surprise manager . "We could've and should've scored more runs."
