Capital Hill catcher Alejandro Carrillo had a good game, even if his team did not. The Interns dropped a 6-4 decision to Valley View at Alouettes Ballpark. Carrillo was 4-4 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Malcolm Bullard was the winner. Over 8 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 12 hits, with no walks and 9 strikeouts. Einar Engberg closed the door for Valley View, picking up his 7th save of the year.

Ricardo Yates helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run double to give Valley View a 2-0 lead.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Yates told a Valley View News reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
