Shockers Beat Snowpeople, 4-3

The Surprise Shockers and Ellesmere Island Snowpeople completed their game despite the rain.
The Surprise Shockers picked up a win at Corpus Christi Grounds, knocking off the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, 4-3. On the mound for Surprise was right-hander Jack Crabb, who played a pivotal role in the win. Crabb, the winner, moves to 6-3. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 1 walk.
One important at-bat came with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the top of the eighth inning. Facing Ellesmere Island hurler Francisco Josafat, José Jiménez drew a walk. The Shockers went on to win.
"We found a way to get it done," Jiménez said.
Surprise goes to 31-17. The win puts them 4 games up in their division.
