The San Diego Clippers went home winners at Mammoths Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Jeff McDermott. McDermott silenced the Memphis Music, enabling San Diego to grab the 7-0 win. McDermott went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 9. His record improves to 6-2. San Diego occupies 6th place in the Premier R at 22-22.

In the top of the ninth inning, left fielder Larry Moore came through big-time for the Clippers. With San Diego leading 4-0, he belted a 3-run home run.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Moore said.
