The San Diego Clippers and starting pitcher Justin Clapham stifled the Fort Knox offense en route to a comfortable 8-1 win at Mean Green Ballpark. Clapham went 8.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 0, and struck out 11. His record improves to 2-2. San Diego now sits in 6th place in the Premier R at 20-22.

Tied up with the Centennial in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Clippers got a boost from right fielder Man-su Chong. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Chong saw a 0-2 fastball from Aldo Ottens and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put San Diego on top, 1-0.

"We were firing on all cylinders today," said Clippers manager Dexter Shannon.
